The next Banbury Town Council event, Banbury Show, will take place in Spiceball Park on Saturday 13th June between 10:00 – 17:00.
With this year’s event including multiple headline acts, including incredible live camels from Joseph’s Amazing Camels and a stunt show from performing group ‘Defying Gravity’, Banbury Show 2026 promises to be a fun-filled event for all, with families invited to enjoy rides, attractions as well as live music, entertainment and more.
Banbury Show is one of the largest events of Banbury Town Council’s calendar, with attendees often numbering in the thousands. It is one of the most popular and diverse events Banbury Town Council organises, and serves as an opportunity for residents to enjoy a day that celebrates everything the town has to offer, from local traders to dedicated hobbyists engaging in the town’s thriving culture and heritage scenes.
One of the most anticipated attractions at this year’s Banbury Show is almost certainly the attendance of two live camels, part of Joseph’s Amazing Camels both a Dromedary (one-humped) and a Bactrian (two-humped) camel will be present in Spiceball Park. Not only will they be taking to the main arena for a talk from their handlers, but they will also be on display for much of the event, and will be viewable up close. Having been domesticated for more than 4,000 years, these particular camels have been trained by handlers with over 50 years’ experience.
‘Defying Gravity’ consists of a thrilling stunt performance carried out by professional BMX riders. Bringing a variety of bikes and props, it an act designed for large park arena events just like Banbury Show. Having performed throughout the UK, ‘Defying Gravity’ is the latest exciting stunt act to take to a town council event. These shows are always jaw-dropping crowd-pleasers, so this performance is certainly not to be missed.
Many favourite attractions will also be returning to this year’s Banbury Show. The trailer stage, with acts provided by Banbury Music Mix Radio, will be located in the northwest corner of the site. This area will once again be dedicated to showcasing local Banbury artists, who always perform free-of-charge.
Returning favourite attractions include balloon modelling, face-painting, and fairground rides, giving families an opportunity to have a memorable and low-cost day out. As well as this, there will be plenty of food and drink stalls, with everything from ice cream vans to burger stalls.
Also present will be plenty of local charities and organisations with stalls available for visitors to chat with representatives and volunteers, allowing them to learn more about these dedicated and impactful causes and efforts. Many stalls will also be welcoming any potential new members and/or donations.
Banbury Show takes place in Spiceball Park, a large and sprawling green space near the centre of Banbury. It has become a hub of community functions and occasions, hosting not only two Banbury Town Council events this year (Banbury Show and Armed Forces Day on 27th June) but also numerous other attractions of various shapes and sizes, the majority of which are community-led and free to attend.
Spiceball Park maintained by Banbury Town Council, and is a designated country park. This means that is purposefully kept to appear as natural as possible to encourage the growth of flora and the establishment of numerous species of wildlife. This unique setting makes Banbury Show a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the best the town has to offer in a beautiful, natural setting.
